Leaf to release unlicensed football cards

The cards are to be in Leaf Pearl a multisport high end release from them.

Should be interesting to see how collectors react. Some serious Hockey folks love the Leaf product.

I trust Leaf as a brand, probably more than i would trust Upper Deck as a brand haha. And the NFL can't say anything cause all the team logos and such were removed from the players pictures, very common practice since panini took over the hobby.

I like Leaf but for some reason I think these cards look really cheap. Not because they are missing the license but because the white acetate just looks like cheap made in China plastic to me. It is a bit tough to explain but on the cards that contain an actual pearl they just look like a knockoff brand did them or something and that's really not a characteristic of Leaf's products. Their stuff usually looks great IMO.
