    Display Cases

Anyone purchase or know somewhere to buy display cases to hold a mixture of both raw and graded cards in Canada?

A few years ago, a friend of mine purchased a bunch at a store called Michaels. They were the ones with a wooden frame and glass door that you could hang on a wall. Hope that helps.

These don't work for patch cards, but some thin autograph cards / insert sets would fit in this:

If I were to buy a display case, my first place would be Ikea.

If youre in Toronto, I have about 8 I no longer use. From Michaels, they hold raw cards in recessed snaps, holds 4 rows of 5. Would let them go really cheap.

Problem is I have a mixture of graded and raw cards so a case would have to be able to hold both!

I have one of these on a wall in my office:

    https://www.amazon.com/Lockable-Disp...s=trading+card

Using magnetic cases, I can display 40 cards in the case (10 cards per row, 4 rows).

    The Good:
    Quality: Well built and sturdy.
Price: Reasonable when compared to the Pennzoni cases, and if you are in the US shipping is free.

The Bad (and I'm being REALLY picky):
    - Using magnetic cases, there is some empty space above each card. I feel like if the case was designed for standard size cases and not graded cases you could fit an extra row in the unused space.
    - Another common complaint, is that if the case is ever moved forward, the top of a card case leans against the glass.
    - The lock. Because it is on the bottom shelf, it is impossible to place a card where the lock is when the lock is in use. Of course if a thief really wants the contents, the lock is pointless. If you leave the case unlocked, you can easily store 10 cards on the bottom row. Even without the lock in use, there are two latches to keep the case closed and secure.
    - Difficult to keep thicker magnetic cases from falling forward. Especially when you are moving cards around.

I have the case hanging using two drywall screws with the attached picture hangers. I would suggest using some hanging putty to secure the bottom of the case to prevent it from moving forward while adding/removing/moving cards.

With that said, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a second one if I needed one. Just some things to know prior to buying...

Problem is when I find something I like, they either don't ship to Canada or when they do, the shipping costs more than the unit and they can't combine shipping if I buy two!
