Sports Magic and How It Drives Collecting: Klitschko vs. Joshua
I have been a sports fan my whole life. Growing up, I participated in almost every sport imaginable from basketball to tennis to karate. The two sports I became most serious about were soccer and baseball, with baseball becoming the lone sport I would pursue in college and afterwards. While baseball had the greatest direct impact on my life, there was another sport I was always fascinated by: boxing.
Boxing hasn't been quite as popular in the U.S. recently because fighters from other countries have, in many cases, stolen the show. We do have some great fighters here, but boxing is much more global now than it was in the past. Not all the major stars are American, which makes it seem like the sport itself isn't as popular as it once was, at least to the casual fan. However, this is not the case. Overseas, big fights can sell out soccer stadiums, where most "big" fights here are often held in much smaller venues.
