Kevin Stevens had it all until making a fateful decision to try drugs.

PLYMOUTH – Kevin Stevens had it all: fame and fortune, a wonderful family and adoring fans.

After back-to-back Stanley Cups wins, Stevens’ Pittsburgh Penguins were way ahead in the standings and a favorite to win a third championship when the team rolled into New York City in 1993.

At a nightclub with fellow players after a game, someone handed Stevens, an All-Star left winger, a vial of white powder that would forever change his life.
