Ball made the statement on the Really Big Show on ESPN 850 AM Cleveland, saying “back in my heyday” he was a better player than the two-time Super Bowl winner, four-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro selection.

Ball did in fact play football, tight end too, for the London Monarchs, saying he was—”too fast, too strong” and a better athlete than Gronk.

He did actually make it to the NFL after college, signing with the New York Jets as a free agent. Obviously, that career didn’t last long.
