    But I always thought that card companies destroyed unused stock like that after a few years.

    No they may say that in public but they DO NOT do that. They aren't going to burn money like that. Every time a card company has gone out of business stuff has magically hit the market. Either sold off by the company or employees just take it.

    Brees had 2 autos in 2001 Crown Royale, one numbered out of 250 and the other out of 100. According to Beckett, both are supposed to be on card autos. Is your card numbered?

    Looks like a card that they made and never got autographed. If there not many out there it could be a unique oddity.

    Looks like a proof. When Pacific went out of business all of their proofs/plates were sold off. This is probably something they used during their QA process. Cool find for a Brees collector.

    I am sure yours is not the only one. Check eBay and others site to see what any have sold for. That will give you a idea of value.
