Trevor Linden Collection Stolen

I got this message from a friend of mine today - guy here in Kelowna had his card collection stolen and among it was a lot of Linden stuff. If you see anything online please let me know:

f you see a local influx of Trevor Linden hockey cards and several older hockey sets, let me know. Lots of the Linden cards were 1/1's. A friend had his house broken into last night and he lost his whole collection.

It also includes at least four game-worn Linden jerseys, so if any of those pop up please let me know. I've got Meigray numbers for at least a pair and owner is trying to find his paperwork for the others.

I too received an email from the collector letting me know that the Linden collection has been stolen. He has a large amount of tough to find cards - including dozens of 1/1's (a lot of recent Leaf plates and most of the Topps Gold Label 1/1s from the late 90's).

I will update this thread with details on low numbered cards if I get any details and ask that people please get the word out and keep your eyes peeled.

I received more information today....

"Fortunately, they missed the 2015-16 and 2016-17 box, so those cards are all there, except 10 or so that were not cataloged and laying on my desk.

I also lose 5 jerseys, 2 were Miegray authenticated, the Away Washington Capital game, Canuck Home 2006-07, and 2012-13 practice jersey.

I am just starting to check what else is missing. I had a box of assorted rookie cards, the most notable would be the 2001-02 Titanium hobby jersey numbered."

He has also sent off a detailed list of his Linden collection (serial numbers, etc.). I will share some of the more rare cards in hopes that when these cards do surface (and I am confident they will), someone will catch it quick.

I am happy to do what I can to help get the word out and ask that others share this information with local stores and at shows. Thanks.

Very sad, and thanks for the update with the list. Jason & Dean are aware at Players Choice so the thief won't be able to use them as an option. Sadly, there's a very disreputable dealer here in town and I fear the cards may end up there.

This is really unfortunate... hope they catch the thieves. If they are stolen and reported to the Cops along with the Serial Numbering its possible that the items can be recovered if they turn up somewhere locally. This is the case with other serial numbered stolen items such as watches, jewelry, guitars, etc.
