Postage Question-Canada Post
My wife was running out to do some errands yesterday, so I asked her if she could mail off a card I sold on Ebay. I told her it would be about $2 because it was in a bubble mailer. Well, she returns and tells me it was less. Of course, the guy at the post office did not add the correct postage. My guess is he just weighed it and because it came in under 50 g he only charged $1.20. He didn't bother to take the size of the envelope into account. I know the postage should be $1.80. Anyone been in this spot? Should I expect this thing back in my mailbox in the next couple of days, or will they simply deliver it?

If it fits through the thin slot they only charge $1.20. I have that happen fairly regularly when just sending a single card in the mail.

I always use $1.80 stamps myself... but over the last couple of years, I would certainly agree that I've received lots of envelopes with $1.20 stamps on them.
If the PO accepted it that way, and post marked it - I'm sure it will be fine.

Whenever I have taken anything to this post office (3rd party), I've never seen them post mark it. They just throw a stamp on it and toss it in the box. I'm assuming it was no different this time. But, it sounds like I'm fairly safe from what I'm hearing. Thanks guys.
