    See lizard-jd's Items on eBay

That was a great piece showing the crooked side of the autograph business. You know that likely thousands of fakes are listed every day on sites like eBay and others. I did find the part about McGwire very interesting and somewhat funny. During Mark's tenure as the Cardinals hitting coach the first spring season at Jupiter, Fl., he never said no to anything I ever asked him to sign (or add - like ROY) for me. As a matter of fact, I found that if I stood in a couple of areas before or after their practices, he would actually come to where I was standing. Needless to say, I ended up getting him to sign pictures of every SI cover he did, various at bat pics and like 4 baseballs. Since I don't sell any of my graphs, my wife kept asking me why I keep getting his graph to which my only answer was that I didn't want to embarrass him by not giving him something to sign when he came up to me. I now laugh because of all the McGwire graphs that I have but I will say that he was one of the more nice athletes that I ever encountered. I sure wish more players would have been like him. I think Pujols was one of the worst I ever encountered and he was nasty too!

It was sad how he seemed proud of what he did.And it's really sad that a lot of his forgeries are still out there.
