Peter- MSN just had a ridiculous list of five candidates for the job including:

    Tony Pena
    Kevin Long
    Willie Randolph
    Don Mattingly

    and AROD

I can definitely see Peńa getting the job.

Also, somebody else beat me to it, but I'll echo it... Not making the playoffs is the best way to keep a managerial job. Just look at the Cardinals!

My only issue with Pena is that at 60 years old, he's a little older than would be ideal in my opinion.

Alex Rodriguez would be such a bad manager it isn't even funny. What makes it even worse is the Yankees basically shooed him away in his final season because of drama and controversy. The dude wasn't even liked by his own teammates when he played for the Yankees all those years and now you expect him to lead the team AND deal with the New York press on a daily basis? No thanks to Arod as that would be the quickest and easiest way to implode this young team with a future.

Peter- I have no idea where MSN got that list from. I think this would qualify as "fake news".
