ANN ARBOR – Cooper Marody never gets tired of his view of Michigan Stadium from his 12th-floor apartment in Ann Arbor.
It’s a constant reminder of his childhood, when he would wake up every morning and admire the large mural of the Big House hanging in his bedroom of his Brighton home.
Growing up, he dreamed of being a Wolverine, playing on the hockey team and attending home football games like he did with his father, Pat Marody.
Now a junior at Michigan, Cooper is leading the hockey team in scoring with 31 points, is nominated for the Hobey Baker Award as the nation’s top player and is an NHL draft pick of the Philadelphia Flyers.
The 6-foot, 190-pound forward is living his childhood dream, but his sights are set even higher.
