The new guy

Hello everyone! I just joined last night. I have recently gotten back into collecting cards after a long hiatus. My dad and I used to collect back in the late 80s to early 90s when I was a young lad (I'm 34 now). I needed a hobby, so I took it back up, and I'm loving it. I might be a minority though, as I am a major soccer fan, and I love soccer cards. I pretty much love every aspect of it and am not just stuck on only wanting to watch one team play. I love it all, but I do have my favorites. I like Chelsea football club and Manchester United of the premier league, Real Madrid and Barcelona of La Liga (Spanish league and I know, huge rivals), Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich of the Bundesliga (German league and yes, huge rivals again), and Napoli, AC Milan, and Juventus of the Italian league. But I will watch any game and be a neutral. I am currently working on the 2016/17 Topps UEFA Champions League Showcase cards set, which I actually posted my first question about last night, and have just recently finished the 2016 Panini Donruss Soccer set (base set, still need some non-base cards). I also love collecting non-sports cards and have a set of 1995 Sports Time Beatles Beatlebilia and the 1995 Fantasy Art of Jeff Easley cards (I absolutely love fantasy/medival stuff). My dad and I collected Boris Vallejo's art cards back in the day. I'm also waiting on a 36-pack unopened box of 1995 (great year) Everway Fantasy Art cards, which consists of art cards from a bunch of different artists from those great times, that I got for a steal of $15 on eBay. Can't beat that. So there you go. I can't wait to interact with y'all and look forward to chatting with anyone that may share similar interests. Thanks for having me!

Thats great having a love of something different than most members IE baseball,football etc. Best of luck with the collection

Scott that'd be awesome! I have several soccer sets, but that champions league showcase set is my favorites so far. I'm not sure which set I want to try next. I was looking at the panini immaculate soccer cards, but God they're expensive.
