Taylor Hall
- I mainly collect young guns rookies and I absolutely can't believe Taylor Hall is only worth $60 in the Beckett...it must be because he's in Jersey now....I think he is equal to, or better than Seguin, whose young guns rookie is listed at $150....I love watching Hall play. Him and Hischier have been great this year...it should be worth $150 i

The team the player is one definitely makes a difference, as do a number of other factors when looking at Young Gun values. If they aren't in a big Canadian market, it's "out of sight out of mind" for a lot of these players.

Couple things to note:
- 10/11 UD Series 2 had A LOT lower print run that 10/11 UD Series 1. I want to say 10/11 UD2 had the lowest print run for any year, and series since 05/06, and the only YGs that were shorted printed than those in 10/11 UD 2 were the ones that were actually short printed in 02/03
- Beckett really doesnt know what theyre talking about in terms of value. Most cards in their guide are not accurate
- The everyday numbers do add up. Hall YG regularly sells for $25 - $30, while Seguin regularly sells for $70 - $80. By this fact alone, Seguins YG value should at least be double if not more than Hall. Cash values are really hurt or inflated depending on what team the player is currently on. While Dallas isnt a hot bed of hobby hockey activity, Seguins overall career has been much better than Halls .... and Dallas is still better hobby wise than New Jersey. Could you imagine if Brodeur won all those Cups with Toronto, Montreal or Pittsburgh? Unfortunately his value had only so high a ceiling because he was in NJLast edited by canucksfan007; 02-16-2018 at 09:12 PM.

Beckett is worthless, but in relation to Seguin they nailed it. Sequin is a far better player year after year and sells for far more.
If you want an example of incorrect "pricing" for the YG of that year look at the Subban which is lower BV than Hall but sells for more.

It happens almost any time a player is traded. Their values dip. There’s exceptions as obviously Seguin is no longer a Bruin, but as mentioned earlier Series 2 from that year was very short printed. Look at Eberle, Subban, and other pretty darn good players no longer on their original teams. All down.

It might actually have been the worst year to invest in top tier talent
Hall - Edmonton -> New Jersey
Eberle - Edmonton -> NYI
Subban - Montreal -> Nasville
Seguin - Boston -> Dallas
Skinner - Wins ROY, no one cares because hes on Carolina
