Post America's Pastor Billy Graham passes away at the age of 99

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...s-aged-99.html

The passing of Billy Graham on Wednesday brought together every living-resident as they honored the life of the famed evangelist.

'The GREAT Billy Graham is dead. There was nobody like him! He will be missed by Christians and all religions. A very special man,' wrote President Trump.

First Lady Melania Trump wrote: 'Saddened by the loss of Evangelist Billy Graham. He led an impactful life, touching so many people with his spiritual teachings. He will be deeply missed.'

A spokesperson announced on Wednesday that the man known as 'America's Pastor' had lost his life at the age of 99 after a lifetime devoted to his faith.

Graham, who passed away of natural causes at his North Carolina home, served as a spiritual leader to hundreds of millions of Americans as well as multiple presidents.

He is survived by his five children with wife Ruth Bell, who passed away in 2007, and 19 grandchildren.

He was one of the few that kept a clean slate. Sorry to hear about his passing and he was one of the good ones in the t.v. evangelist.

Agreed. My dad really looked up to him.

I've noticed he is getting assailed in social media by a lot of atheists and Calvinists, who are very vocal on the Internet and seem to have large numbers of active posters who enjoy painting those who disagree with them in the worst light possible. But for the rest of us, it's easy to distinguish between Graham's integrity and the lack thereof from many other televangelists, as well as how he preached a compassionate Christianity that was still largely conservative/orthodox. For all of that, he should be commended, not attacked.

lol no, followers of John Calvin's theology (Calvin of Calvin and Hobbes was named after him, incidentally). Calvinists are a very dogmatic set of Christians who tend to think that anyone who disagrees with their theology is a heretic. The Puritans were largely Calvinistic in their thinking. They are generally a very dour and yet pompous lot. The modern ones will go to great lengths to argue with people on the Internet relentlessly in order to convert them to their way of thinking.

I was almost sure that wasn't a thing but with people now being such weirdos I wasn't positive. Just give it enough time and I'm pretty sure that will become a thing.
