NFL ups salary cap by $10 million to $177.2 million for 2018

NEW YORK (AP) — The NFL's salary cap will be $177.2 million, more than $10 million above last season.

Teams must be below that figure when the league season begins on March 14.

While the cap went up from $167 million, it did not surge the way it did the previous year, increasing by nearly $12 million.

There have been a lot of interesting trades already as well, with Michael Bennett going to the champs, Robert Quinn going to the Dolphins, Marcus Peters to the Rams and Alex Ogletree to the Giants ... I'd love to see some mega names change teams as that is always fun, something like Philip Rivers to the Broncos and Eli Manning to the Jaguars and Larry Fitzgerald to the Chiefs, etc., etc.,.

Any room on any team bandwagons, other than the Cheatriots, for a disgruntled Chiefs fan? I can't really quit them but dang they're making it easy to think about it. They could have had Alec Ogletree in the Marcus Peters trade but they chose a late pick instead? They just aren't making any sense this year. Salary cap is going up but they're letting Tamba and DJ go too.

Who's your favorite NFC team? The Lions, Bucs and Cardinals could always use more fans, lol

how about this scenario? Jf Brees becomes FA, and signs w/ Vikes/Broncos, Giants trade Eli to saints,
his dad's old team, for saints #1 pick. kind of hi but...... Then Big Blue send their #1 pick, Saints Pick, and maybe a 3rd rounder. to SF. for Jimmy G.

SF would have 3 1st rounders and $ under the cap. Wishfull thinking, LOL

    Oh Well.

I haven't heard what the Browns gave up yet, but I like the deal for them ... get some talent to surround whatever QB they're bringing in rather than throw him to the Wolves.

Think it was two draft picks. I am sure you will find out when you look at the news. Was at work when a buddy of mine was like OH SNAP!! Seen some post on Facebook of folks jumping their pc.
