Depends on the years, and cards. You can get in on bulk submissions. Shoot me a message with a few examples and I can get more specific.

Grading cards
I only collect PSA graded cards. Personal thing. If you decide to collect graded cards, are you going to do a player, team, set? What price will you pay for commons, stars? Are you going to go across all grading companies, only one? The biggest issue is the cost. At $6-$7 per card to get them graded, you better be committed.
I collect PSA Dallas Cowboy Cards. Both specific players and Team sets. I try to get anything post-1980 in a PSA 10. But if you look at my stuff, a lot of my 1980-s and up are PSA 9. Which I chose due to price, which is ultimately tied to availability and wants.
Its tough to spend $5000 on grading when you could have bought cards with that money. So maybe you only are going to do vintage cards? I would think about all these things before you take the plunge. If you do decide to do it, there are additional resources out there to complete against others to make sets and show off your sets. I scan in all my cards here, as well as on the PSA set Registry.
Let me know if you even read thins and what you finally decide.

My personal opinion......PSA. It's just an opinion, but that's my vote.
