Post Browns LT Joe Thomas Announces His Retirement After 11 Seasons

    http://dailysnark.com/breaking-joe-t...veland-browns/

Joe Thomas may have just been the best player in the NFL you’ve never heard of for much of the past decade.

The Cleveland Browns left tackle was an iron man over 11 seasons, playing the most consecutive snaps by any NFL player in history (10,363), only coming to an end in 2017 when he suffered a triceps injury.

Thomas was drafted by Cleveland 3rd overall in the 2007 NFL Draft, playing himself into a Pro Bowl as a rookie and for each of his first 10 seasons despite blocking for countless inept quarterbacks. He was named a First Team All-Pro seven times.

It's a shame that for most of his career he played on not so successful teams. It seems like they are poised to turn the corner now. In any event, great player, class act, and deserving to see his name enshrined in Canton.

    GREAT PLAYER!

I wouldn't be surprised if the Browns trade out of the #4 pick with the Bills, receive Buffalo's #12, #22 and #96 picks and use that #12 pick on LT Mike McGlinchey from Notre Dame to replace big Joe Thomas.
