The Giants only got one pick in reality ... the Bucs gave New York their 3rd rounder ... the teams then swapped their 4th round picks, so in reality all the Giants got was a mid 3rd rounder.

Maybe now the Bucs can actually get remotely close to a QB before he completes a pass against their horrible pass defense, as their leading DE sacker last year had a whopping 2.5 more sacks than I had ... and I didn't play!

In all seriousness, the trade was a no-brainer for the Bucs as it allowed them to move up in the 4th round and I doubt they could find a rookie DE in the 3rd round of the draft that would give them as much production as JPP can ... but man, Tampa's defense was by far the worst in the entire NFL last year and they still need to fill some holes in free agency and/or the draft ...

Cap dump to a team that had Cap room and a need

what is more interesting IMO is what the Giants do at #2.... is Bradley Chubb in play at 2?

I'd be shocked if the Giants didn't draft a QB at #2 ... if they're not going to draft a QB they almost have to trade down as no RB or OG or DE is worth all the Bills will give them imho ... they're not even worth the package the Jets offered.

As for Chubb, I don't think the Giants have any interest as he's a 4-3 DE just like JPP and they're switching to a 3-4 defense ...

You're definitely not lying ... their defense was so bad I honestly think Oklahoma could have hung 30 on them ... the worst pass defense by a mile and a bad run defense and their leading DE sack guy had 2.5 sacks on the season ... 2.5 ... I mean, wow.
