    Schedule set for Cy Young Days

    NEWCOMERSTOWN -- The annual Cy Young Days Festival is quickly approaching and much like years in the past, there is a full slate of activities planned for the weekend.

    The festival will be held in downtown Newcomerstown and will start on Friday, June 22 at 5 p.m. and end at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 24.

    On Friday, the festival kicks off with the opening ceremonies and the crowning of the queen and her court at 5 p.m. followed by the Chestnut Hill Bluegrass Band at 6 p.m. and Blackhand Hooch from 8-11 p.m. All of friday’s festivities will be held at the Canal Street Stage.

    Activities resume bright and early on Saturday, June 23 as the Cy Young Run registration will begin at the Cy Young Park Pavilion at 7:15 a.m. followed by the run at 8 a.m.
