An introduction and a sad story :(

Hello everyone. My name is Daryk and I am brand new to this forum. Born and raised in the Seattle area and have had a love for the game for atleast 25 of my 29 total years of life. Ever since I can remember my dad and I have had a special bond through baseball. He always coached my teams and shared all of his knowledge of the game with me which brings me to why I am here now. You see having a love for all things baseball naturally I found my way into the hobby of baseball cards and memorabilia. The most cherished of all my dad's possessions were his childhood card collection. A collection he has held onto with the intention of passing on to me someday for the past 50 years. Not an extravagant collection, fitting neatly inside of a small green shoe box but they were his. Cards that held memories of kidhood baseball idols from the age that players like that were truly bigger than life. Unfortunately around early December of this last year, 6 months ago or so, our house was broken into and among the multitude of priceless things that were stolen was his little green shoe box full of his childhoods most special memories. Police were notified, pawn shops and card shops were visited but they were gone. I'm looking for a real miracle here but has anyone happened to know of a small collection of baseball cards from the early 60s appearing recently? I know the odds are slim to none but with fathers day coming up I thought I would try. Is anyone looking for a good home for some cards that you are aware of that are from that era, the 60s? I promise with all my heart they would never be sold or traded to try and make a profit. They would be a father's day present to my father and from there they would become a part of our family that someday my dad will pass on to me and I would pass on to my kid someday. I know this is a hail Mary with the smallest of chances but i thought I would try to put my story out there and hope for a miracle. I'm sorry for how long this ended up being as well. I just wanted to really explain from my heart this situation so that hopefully you don't think I'm just making this all up. I feel kind of dumb now for writing this but I'mgoing to post it anyway. Thank you for your time.
