RB: End of the HOF caliber RB?
Just wondering...
With what appears to be the end of Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson's careers, do you think we will ever see another HOF caliber RB? The only ones I think may be that type are Le'Veon Bell. I just don't know that anyone will be given the opportunity for longevity in the NFL at the RB position.
Cheers!

It's very tough when guys come into the league at 22 then are considered washed up by 30. 8 years at RB isn't a long time though if we see them splitting out wide or sharing carries like the Saints backs did last year, perhaps they'll stick around longer and make a name/career for themselves. I'm not sure if a guy like McCoy is considered HOF material but all the other big names right now are too early in their careers to call. Would love to see Bell keep putting up big numbers and make a case for himself.

I don't even think Shady will make it, especially with the allegations that came out today...

I don't know if this is the end but I think going forward (unless something changes) there will be far fewer "HOF caliber" running backs in the NFL. Like if every generation there was 5-6 you will now only have 1 or 2.
