    LOL, Andres Nocioni? Seriously?

I remember Wade being popular in 2006 after his Finals MVP performance. After that, people forgot about him because of injuries, and no further titles until Heatlemania with LeBron a few years later, despite him continuing to put up big stats. Now his card prices are quite affordable for someone who should easily be a first ballot HOFer when he finally retires. I have a Fleer Mystique numbered RC of his in my PC.

I think even funnier on that page, is on the right side when it says hot list 1 yr ago and 5 yrs ago (from 2006). Looking back today, I can see why Ben Gordon was on the list at that time, but really Kwame Brown? LOL!

I think even the hobby tried to bolster Kwame Brown, because secretly everyone knew what a bust he was- but Beckett couldnt make it seem like the top pick was crap- then no one would buy the basketball cards that year...LOL

Heh. Kwame did look good in rookie summer league. He had all the talent. And he had a 30 point, 20 rebound game, IIRC, in his second or third season. But word was already out that he was lazy and emotionally immature, and he just never put it together. His career actually lasted longer than it seemed like it should have.

Gordon's career started out so well, and he seemed like a humble guy, but wow did his career and life plummet fast. He's had a host of off-court issues in recent times.

I had to watch that bum play on my team for 3 seasons so I can make fun of him. LOL. He couldnt catch a ball to save his life and would be afraid to shoot since he may get fouled then air ball it. The only good thing he did was help my team get Pau as salary filler.

At least your team didnt have anyone as bad as him rostered. You could say possibly Swift, Sene, or Petro, but they were not high lottery picks. Plus Lakers in typical Mitch fashion traded an upcoming All Star in Caron Butler to Wizards for Kwame.

Yeah I have no recollection of him either. He must have done something at the time that was noteworthy for Beckett to include him on the list or they just pulled a lot of cards of the guy.

With him, Hinrich, and Gordon all mentioned, I'm thinking someone at Beckett had a Chicago bias.
