How Twitter has become NFL locker room poison
One of the defining images of the modern locker room isn't a fiery postgame speech or a group of guys strategizing -- it's players with their heads down, buried in their phones.
The impact? It's not good.
I've seen the negative impact social media can have, particularly on younger players, who grew up with Twitter and Instagram as an integral part of life.

I love Twitter and know many players follow it like they're addicted to it ... there are a ton of absolute nutjobs on Twitter too though, wow!

the truth is you have no idea at all how many accounts are real or paid by the nfl to say anything to create news and controversy. same goes for all of twitter and facebook. Its mostly bots/fake accounts in comments about videos etc.
social media was invented by govt to distract you with incredibly trivial ™™™™. trivial = giving a damn what a jock says to another jock whether real or fake.

You're not exactly wrong … it can still be a fun way to pass the time though, but yes, I'm fully aware it is largely a "prole (in the Orwellian sense)" activity.
