1 Box Final Vault

For the first time in many months, i had the itch to open some packs or a box. Went to the LCS and he had lots of stuff on display, but nothing of any interest. In the corner of his display case there was a box of Final Vault put in sideways. I never bought any when it was originally issued, but was aware it is about past players which is where my main interest lies. I know as well that ITG did some nice memorabilia pieces as well. I was hoping to get a Dennis Hull game used card or an autograph to go with my Bobby Hull auto and game used cards. I know it was a longshot so what the heck, go for it.

Before i list the cards, i have 1 comment. It is not about the selection of cards i got, but more how they are packaged. When i opened the box, to my surprise, all the cards were in a clear plastic box. No sleeve on them or anything. So from packaging to shipping to the store to the customer, these boxes are handled many times. So the cards can move around in those plastic boxes and ding corners etc. Knowing that now, i won't be buying any more of it as i did enjoy the break. A couple of the cards did have little dings on them.
Here we go... Any specks or other imperfections are from the scanner or on the toploader i put them in.

Awesome box! That Roy auto is sick, I bought a box of this stuff and got a Mario Lemieux auto. That Yzerman patch is pretty nice to!

Love checking out these Vault breaks. Some great cards! The Dubnyk is awesome! If available, would like to take a shot at it~

I've always wanted to try some Vault myself. Just need to find it at a better price. Great Roy auto, and that Dubnyk patch is insane! OogaBooga99 is definitely the guy to give that thing a good home.

The LCS guy gave me a small discount as i buy there when i do buy, which hasn't been often lately. Plus the way they are packed is not appreciated. I should have known when i read "There is NO customer service for these boxes" on the the side.

The reason there is no customer service for those boxes, is because the company who issued them (In The Game) are no longer a company. In The Game Final Vault was the final product created by Dr. Price (He started ITG, and he now owns and operates President's Choice Trading Cards). The 'original' ITG brand and memorabilia inventory was sold to the Leaf Trading Cards company.

There are other reasons why Final Vault was eventually created, but it releases another can of worms that can be a hot button issue with other collectors having to do with some of the leftover stock from earlier ITG products, which have been debated for a long time now. Hence the Vault "V" stamp on the cards themselves to differenciate them from the original packed-out cards in the respective products.

So it's not that the company who issued the product doesn't want to help you, or offer great customer service, it's just that the company itself doesn't exist. Hoping this can help clarify that customer service blurb on the side of the box.

I really like Final Vault, and I have a lot of Final Vault cards in my own collection. This break is a great example of that you never know what types of cards will be pulled from it. I hope I get the chance to break some one of these days!
