Panini redemption policy change

I have had good experience getting swaps from Panini, as well as others I know. If they are changing their policy to one where there is no truly even swaps for a hockey patch auto /99 then this is going to drastically change my opinion of Panini hockey products.

I don't know, something is better than nothing. I mean, these are atleast 5 years expired.
I was able to find some decent cards on their site as replacements. Better than being told to take what we send and shove it, like UD would do.
On one of my Panini redemptions they gave me replacement points, then months later found the card and sent it to me!

I agree. If the redemption is expired, technically they don’t owe you anything.

They haven't made a dime on Hockey in 5 years, and they're still willing to honor expired redemptions. Storing them, paying employees to pick them, then shipping at their cost.
They've gone way above and beyond here. When it comes to expired redemptions, beggers can't be choosers.

Good on Panini for doing something for collectors still. It's already been pointed out, but I don't think have much hockey in their inventory right about now.

This is an inevitable scenario. If the company doesn’t get the cards back from the athlete and/or has used those existing copies to replace other cards that couldn’t be fulfilled (downward spiral!) that becomes the best alternative. I know that it’s probably less prevalent in the other sports, but Panini has been out of hockey for four years now and I imagine their replacement stock for the sport is dwindling.

How long does it take to receive my redemption card?
Redemption cards are made available as they are received. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. Panini America, Inc. will send a comparable card in its place if the specified card is not available to ship within 4 months or 8 months depending on what timeframe is selected during the reservation process. If no time period is selected, 8 months will be assumed.

You're grasping at straws here. On one hand you're saying they should follow what they say in their FAQ to the letter, but on the other hand you're saying they should honor a redemption despite it clearly being expired.

Point is, the above blurb does not apply to expired redemptions. They're going above and beyond what is required of them.
