David West retires after 15 seasons

This one caught me a little by surprise. He always went unnoticed because of the contemporary strength at his position.
He probably should have been an All-Star more than twice.
He was pretty healthy throughout his career, and playing at a high level when he decided to be a role player to win a title.
I'm sure he could have continued to play, and maybe with a larger role elsewhere to get in the HOF conversation.
This blurb stood out to me because he sounds like a thoughtful dude, which is always refreshing to read.

I agree who was a good player but went unnoticed most of his career.
Football: Emmitt Smith and Saquon Barkley!
Non-Sports: Star Wars, Silver Surfer, Thor
Baseball: Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Harmon Killebrew, Graig Nettles, Miguel Andujar, Gleyber Torres and Derek Jeter!

I probably over sold the whole HOF thing, but I think longevity and consistency is somewhat undervalued.
