There is a high degree of risk of mortgaging the future similar to the two 1st the Bears gave up for Cutler in 2009. If the Bears think that Nagy can do for the Bears what McVay did for the Rams in 2017 and Trubisky emerges from a conservative run-first risk adverse offense like Goff did then the Bears just acquired their version of Aaron Donald. The Bears team defense ranked 9th overall last year and adding Mack to a defense coached by Vig Fangio will make them extremely tough to move against.
The biggest if is that offense. If it can be even average, the Bears will be in for a much improved season.

Seems like they may have paid a bit too high especially since that is one tough division the Bears are in right now but they have to do something if they want to compete with this current team

That’s a steep price. I’m glad the bills did not give up that price, especially since there is a real chance the bills could be the worse team in the league this season

I thought for sure Mack would be a Raiders for life! Bears defense got better but offense we shall see!
Football: Emmitt Smith and CeeDee Lamb!
Baseball: Aaron Judge/Adley Rutschman/Derek Jeter/Anthony Volpe!
Only collect Football/Baseball cards, but I have lots of Basketball/Hockey cards and set to trade for BB and FB!

Bad trade for both teams imho ... it never "worked out" for any team in NFL history that traded 2 #1s for one player so I doubt this was a great move for the Bears ... and it seems like a terrible move for the Raiders for all sorts of reasons, including team chemistry, how the players will feel about Gruden, etc ...

Mack goes to a Bears team that plays Rodgers, Cousins and Stafford 2 times every year. He has the ability to take over games with his pressure, but if he can't get to the QB, he will be just another guy on the Defense. Raiders did very well getting back 2 - 1st rounders and some other picks for Mack, a 2nd rounder and whatever else was thrown in.
