I understand the NHL's policy against ban substances, even if it's a small enough to not provide any performance advantage, but it shows how their substance policy is (in my opinion) ahead of other rulings such as hits to the head and suspensions given from that, which is more serious and dangerous to their players.

This doesn't pass the sniff test to me. It sounds like this amount was small enough to have been testing error considering the hair sample supported it. It seems odd that it was upheld.

I was reading a bit about this -- the advocate for Schmidt said that that it was the equivalent of a pinch of salt in an Olympic-sized pool. There's no way he could gain anything remotely resembling a meaningful "enhancement" from this. Really unfortunate for Nate.

Maybe him and Chris Collabello can get together, figure out how this stuff got inside them.... and maybe figure out who actually killed Nicole Brown-Simpson, the location of Jimmy Hoffa's body, or at least get the team from Scooby-Doo together, to they can all go solve mysteries.
"I've been tested before, and passed": All that means is there was nothing they could detect in your system on those occasions.
"A trace amount, that would have given him no advantage". Hooey. That's just means he probably didn't take it the day before.
I have not read what it is. Was it actually a PED that he tested positive for, or was it the same hair-growth product that Jose Theodore used to use?
