Panini America's Prime Hockey brand made an instant impact with collectors when it first debuted as a memorabilia-based masterpiece during the 2011-12 season. The product raised eyebrows and dropped jaws immediately based almost entirely upon an unparalleled memorabilia roster that helped deliver some of the most unique trading cards ever manufactured. The autograph lineup was pretty spectacular, too. That auspicious beginning paved the way for successful mainstream Prime Hockey releases in 2012-13 and 2013-14. And then . . . it was gone.
