Personally, I think these teams to be 50/50. In my opinion, if they played 100 games, they'd split 50-50. In a break down I see this ---

    C - slightly Yankees
    1B - A's - more long ball power
2B- A's - Eddie Collins is the BEST of the four. On the Yankees, I'd remove Randolph and replace him with Bobby Richardson.
3B- Yankees - due to A Rod.'s hitting power (may not have been if he hadn,'t been on ..........)
SS- Yankees - because of Jeter
LF- A's - because of Rickey Henderson
CF- Yankees - better back-up centerfielder
RF- Yankees - "Babe", no competition for him
SP- A's - no 300 game winner in Yankees history. Also, I'd replace Hudson as my 5th SP with Jim "Catfish" Hunter. Pitching seldom,in their entire history, was as impressive as Yankee hitting. It was that "power" hitting that led the Yankees to most of their titles. Also, on these two team SP's, the A's have way too many 300 wins (or more) pitchers for the Yankee hitting line-up.
RP - An overall even split
