SCF Update - August 10, 2019 - SCF Update to Responsive Browsing!!!

    Members -

I would like to take the time to Introduce you all to the new and improved sportscardforum.com!!! Its been a LONG time coming, but over the next week or so you will see a number of changes to SCF.

The biggest change that will occur is that the site is going to be usable on Desktop, Tablet AND Mobile Browsers!

    Forums
This is still a bit of a work in progress but we do have a Forum Style that will be responsive to use on any device that you have. If you want to start to use this style, you can click on this link OR you can go to the bottom of the screen and select SCF Responsive on the dropdown (next to the Google Translator).

By using this new style, you will be able to use the forums on a desktop as well as mobile device!!

There will need to be work done to ensure that the menus, headers, etc align with tools, but those are going to be a work in progress. Because of this, the default style has not changed. However, the mobile responsive will become the main style of SCF. As such, any changes made to the forums will only be made the responsive style going forward.

If you find issues with the New Forums Style, please post those here --> https://www.sportscardforum.com/show...F-Forums-Style

SCF Customs Applications: All 3 custom apps, the Trade Manager, The TTM Manager and the Inventory Manager all share in common the same header, footer and menu system. It now feel like one big application. All three application now have PM and Mention notification exactly like on the forum top bar menu blinking in red. All three apps are also responsive mobile first. This mean that if you connect for the very first time or deleted your cookie. You will be presented with a mobile version of the page. On the next click then we can adapt to desktop or tablet mode. So all three custom apps are 100% mobile.

    NEW VIP FEATURE
: Skin color editor: Change background and text colors and save it as your custom skin with our new tools available as a new perk to our VIP member only. If you are interested in becoming a VIP, please check out that information here.

    Trade Manager
Other then making the Trade Manage, 100% mobile friendly and adapted the display and buttons, it's pretty much the same app. One new feature worth to mention is the the search list trades now list all trades and the form only serve to filter the result to show.

If you find issues with the Trade Manager, please post those here --> https://www.sportscardforum.com/show...-Trade-Manager

    Inventory Manager
Changes to the Inventory Manager includes

Faster to load in many places then before. Also we started to use lazy images loading. Great on cell when you don't have to download images not seen

The Menu Structure make it so much easier to navigate, top button always floating on the bottom right like on the new forum skin

New Public section with a player and team checklist that are 100% public so all can see the players and team cards.

These two checklist pages let you navigate players and team via the letter system or the search forum. All result lead to either a team or player page. So each teams and pages now all have their individual pages.

Playerslist the player stats and list all the cards.

Team will list all the years a team as card in. Then it will list the card if you click on the tea, year.

New team autograph checklist of all player that have a card with auto in the team uniform.

New Site search: In all three custom application The search in the header orange section top right is experimental and will list links to result in the forums search, the card database and same if we find a player in the TTM we will list it. (very experimental at this stage, yet functional)

New setting page: You can set two things there. One is to add color to the cards attribute. Some may hate this and other may see it as easier to spot RC Auto or other attribute in list.
The other setting let you change the font size in card result. This new version use 15 points for font size. We used to be at 11 points. Member can choose between 11-12-13-14-15 points for the result set of card list only.

Automated Indexing of Players - automated nightly player indexing to make sure player are indexed often, (Manual Indexing of players will still be an option)

Cleaner Interface then before and the space is better used

If you find issues with the Inventory Manager, please post those here --> https://www.sportscardforum.com/show...entory-Manager

    Through the Mail Manager
    Changes to the TTM Include

Uniform Header that will allow members to see if they have any Notifications from the forums.

Menu Structure that will allow members to navigate all of SCF

Responsive Browsing experience to find address and report successes

The core of the tool remains as Version 2 was when it was launched about 18 months ago.

If you find issues with the Updated TTM, please post those here --> https://www.sportscardforum.com/show...ed-TTM-Manager

I hope that you find that these enhancements makes SCF much more usable. There will be some additional enhancements/fixes that will be coming over the next weeks and months; however, this is the biggest enhancements that has been made on the site in years!

Please share your feedback - if you have specific issues with the tools, please make sure you are using the threads linked into this message.

    Thanks,
    Scott

100% mobile site, easy to navigate and that look the same was the objective and I think we achieved it for the most part. I will be around all week-end to attend any issue someone would encounter.
