NEW member (after 20 years on Beckett)
Hey everyone! I just migrated over from Beckett this week. The trading there has just slowed down so much and no one really uses it. Hoping I can make some trades using this site! I was "winningsforthebirds" on Beckett, and have been active as an online trader since 1997. I'm not exactly sure how pricing works over here but I just priced my stuff based on eBay sales as the book values are kind of irrelevant anymore if they don't use online sales data to determine pricing.
I am looking for auto patches mainly. I will trade for Eagles and Notre Dame (in uniform) autos as well. And like anyone else I have plenty of random guys that end up on my want list!

Welcome to SCF!
Most traders use BV, online sales or some combination of both. In my experience, as long as you apply the same pricing to both sides of a trade, you'll won't have many issues.

Awesome that works perfectly. I don't purchase the price guides anymore so it makes it tough for me to know. But that seems fair. I find that the guides are a little inflated sometimes or don't pick up on real time trends as fast. Overall they have been trusty for years though!

For a lot of the lower end cards and inserts I find the price guide/BV convenient when trading.
Mid-higher value cards like star YGs and Future Watch Rcs tend to be a bit more volatile so I'll often look at the online sales when making those trades. Let's face it, you cannot expect someone to value a card at $100 due to an outdated BV when COMC has about 20 copies priced at $30.

Sounds good. I think you are about to see the remaining traders on there come over. Its all but dead on the boards there - same 2 or 3 guys posting the same cards. I take time off from collecting sometimes. Coming back this time I realized there was no reason to stay there.
