I haven't broke a box in quite a bit so I decided to buy a 19-20 MVP blaster box ans was surprised
I've been very busy as of late, however on a whim I decided to buy a blaster box of 19-20 MVP and a couple of fat packs of 18-19 Upper Deck series 2 and was pretty intrigued with what I got.
Well, the MVP really impressed me, I pulled quite a few interesting cards, which I will break down as follows:
- Clayton Keller "Supernova"..
- John Tavares "Net Crashers"
MVP Stanley Cup Edition silver auto's
- Ryan Johansen
- Evgeny Kuznetsov
MVP Gold or Silver base cards
- Quinn Hughes Rookie MVP *Gold Signature* (I'm assuming it's a high number SP)
- Carter Hart Silver Sig
- Sidney Crosby Silver Sig
- Clayton Keller Silver Sig
- Tyler Toffoli Silver Sig
Rookies (Which I assume are all SP's)
- Cale Makar
- Taro Hirose
- Nathan Bastian
I got Puzzle Pieces of Barkov & Athanasiou..
Of course bunch of base stars and all that jazz...
Too me that wasn't a bad beak at all, and IMO I'm pretty satisfied with my hits, including a gold Quinn Hughes RC, I mean I was satisfied with all my sigs really ... And the rookies I pulled weren't bad at all...
So yea, I think this is a good product and plan on going back today and grabbing another box or 2...
I also opened a few fat packs of 18-19 UD series 2 and was SHOCKED that instead of pulling the normal Shining Stars or whatever, I actually pulled (2) OPC update rookies..... I pulled a Mikhail Vorobyev Marquee Rookie, then followed that up with an OPC Retro update Maxime Comtois Marquee Rookie ...
I must say that I am quite satisfied for the bang I got for the 20-25 bucks I spent .... Perhaps I just hit a good box? but for right now I really would recommend the MVP, because I did pull quite a few decent cards from some highly regarded prospects, not to mention the vets I pulled from various subsets..
Now I don't know what any of it books for but I did get some inserts of guys with some pretty high potential and a bunch of young and up and coming stars...
I just figure I would give you my take given I just opened my first 19-20 MVP box, and it was enjoyable....

Congrats on the break! Blasters can be a really fun rip.
I moved this to the Show And Tell/ Packs/Box breaks section of the Hockey forums by the way, as it would be more appropriate there. Thanks.Jhonas Enroth Card Collector & Host of the Hidden Content
