Durant doesn't like the "circus" of the NBA

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ate-circus-nba

Such a great talent, but he's still so gullible, naive, and thin-skinned, after all this time.

Yes, a lot of fans overreacted when he left OKC, but fans getting upset when players leave their team is nothing new. Durant continues to remain amazingly oblivious to how and why so many fans (and old-school players) saw his leaving OKC in the way they did, despite previous backlash against LeBron's similar "Decision" from several years prior being a clear example of what can happen when a local favorite jumps ship. Nor does he understand that media circuses have been part of sports for a long time.

LeBron, for all the similarities, learned more than Durant did. He's now much smarter about the business side of the NBA. LeBron learned from the Decision, came back, and won a title with his original team. He moved on with his life. Meanwhile, Durant is still acting with the mentality of a teenager.

Seems fitting that he and Kyrie are now paired together. Neither of them really know how to lead or respond to criticism with grace, maturity, and poise. But they're going to have to, if the Nets are going to have any success. It will be interesting to see if those two can ever get things in perspective and learn how to properly handle the media, criticism, and pressure of being a major star and/or leader.

I do agree with him being thin skinned. Does not like to be center of attention. More of a back seat but important player. I feel he wants to be the main man but does not know how. Great talent, yet losing the motivation to be that star.
