Mailing a Sharpie
I have a multi-signed 8 x 10 photo that has been signed in sharpie by previous players. I am thinking about sending it to additional players, and some of them have a history of signiing in ball point pen, even on baseball cards or photos. I'm willing to send a sharpie with no expectation of it being returned, but I'm not quite sure how to send. For those who have sent sharpies to players in the past, how did you package the items? For a flat item like a photo, I'm leaning towards sending 2 separate letters so that if the sharpie gets crushed en route, it won't ruin my photo but maybe I'm being overly cautious and there's always the chance that the recipient will be confused on what to do if the sharpie is not with the photo.

I always use a snack size ziploc baggie to put a pen or sharpie in, that way if it breaks, the bag gets the ink! I also use thick cardboard to protect the photo and send in a bubble mailer.
Good luck, post a picture of your multisigned photo, those are fun to see!
God bless,
Kevin

yeah I used to send sharpies with my stuff all the time and I would do similar to what kclj said put a piece of cardboard into the bubble mailer and put the sharpie on the opposite side of the cardboard from the picture. I also get those file folders and cut them just a little bit bigger than the photo so it gives a little more protection to it.

Agree, Packer Bum, using a file folder is helpful too!
