My Henrik Zetterberg Collection (Goal 100% Rookie Year) [Updated Periodically + Scan Heavy]

Hi everyone,

With the Wings season coming upon us in a few hours and with my latest addition to my Zetterberg PC, I figured I would create a rolling thread documenting my progress toward my ultimate goal which is to have 100% of all his Rookie Year cards. I Though I am always searching for, I don't include 1/1's or show stamped cards in my parameters.

My Henrik Zetterberg collection is the PC I am most passionate about (Kovalchuk does come in at a close 2nd). For me he represents the two main areas in my life where collecting was important to me back when I was a young teenager in the mid 00's, and the fuel for me getting back into collecting back in the summer of 2011. As a teenager, without finding a promo of his SPA Base card in a Tuff Stuff magazine at my LCS (now closed down), or having his 03/04 SOTT being one of my first eBay purchases, or my dad buying me a dual RC SOTT w/ Spezza /99, I may have gone a different route in my life collecting wise back in 2011. As a man with many hobbies I was heavily considering collecting video games, toys or Pokemon back then, so it really could have been a toss up as to which one won over. But here I am, a hockey card collector through and through.

Now here is the main reason that motivated me to create this thread. Back when I was getting into collecting cards and Henrik Zetterberg, I was in the midst of finding out what I wanted to focus on. After some thought, I came to the realization that I wanted to get ALL ROOKIE YEAR AUTOS of Zetterberg. And so the hunt went on. The first few months of me collecting, I was making great progress knocking off a good handful of rookie autos. Then after that is where I learned what the grind and slow times of collecting was really about. Keep in mind, this is all brand new to me. Even as a kid/teen my collecting was never so focused, so this experience and admitted frustration was a new experience. Of course, I'm a grizzled veteran now lol.

It is worth mentioning that since my original goal that I set out many years ago and as I mentioned above, my ultimate goal has now changed to getting 100% of Zetterberg's rookie year cards in general (not just autos) and as many jersey numbered rookie year cards possible (40/xxxx or 15/xxxx). So if anyone can help me out over time, I would greatly appreciate it.

Before I get to the show, I also want to thank all those who have helped me along the way, I am fortunate enough to have met some great people and have enjoyed many experiences that collecting cards have given me over time.

Well after a long 8 years, with the addition of this beautiful Future Watch Patch Auto, I was finally able to finally complete my original goal of getting all of Henrik Zetterberg's Rookie Year Autos.

***If anyone knows the owner of the real Slabbed 1/1 owned by a collector who I believe resides in Sweden, I would greatly appreciate it if you connect us. He once had his own Website that greatly influenced my vision of what I wanted in my Zetterberg collection many years ago. It was Zettawingfan.se . I may never own it, but I would love a shot at least.
