The theme for this week is: Best card from a team you hate (Tell us why you hate them!)

The theme will run from today until 11:59pm EST on Saturday, Oct. 19th, 2019

General Rules

1. You MUST post a new scan/picture of your card with your handwritten ID next to it in this thread.
2. Only one submission per member per week.
3. A card can only be submitted ONCE throughout the whole contest, so choose wisely.
4. If you make a mistake, do NOT edit your post! Instead, create a new one, or your entry for the week will be disqualified. No exceptions.

* Any card that won in last years Show & Tell contest cannot be used again this year!

50+ entries in a week: 3 points to the winner, 2 to 2nd place, 1 for 3rd

This is kind of a two for one here. I am an Emery fan and enjoyed watching him. Being from Toronto the team I hate is Ottawa. The patch is from an Ottawa jersey. The second part is he is pictured in a Hawks mask. My first Leaf game when I was 10 at the Gardens was a Hawks game so I was taught to not like the Hawks also.

Being from St Louis, the team I hate the most is the Chicago Blackhawks. Since they are the closest team and the Cup victories under Coach Q, they are my most hated team. Also the Blues passed on this player in the 2006 draft to pick Erik Johnson with the First Overall pick.

The story behind this card, is that I had a Joel Edmundson The Cup RPA redemption in at Upper Deck. At least a year had passed and I gave up on waiting, so I wrote them an email to see about getting a replacement. When asked about Team and player replacement possiblities, I gave St Louis Blues and several other players including Jonathon Toews (since I did not have an Auto of his yet). About a week later I received:

Growing up I had two players that I absolutely loved. Stever Yzerman for the hometown Red Wings and Joe Sakic for the Quebec Nordiques. To me these two players were great players and even better leaders in that they played for two lousy teams and turned them into contenders without complaint during some lean years were the L's piled up like crazy. Since the Quebec Nordiques became the Avalance and they faced each other in many playoff contest I hated it as I had to see one of my two favorite players loose. That was until the the Claude Lemieux hit on Kris Draper then I hated the Avalanche with a passion. Within a few years some of the nastiest and most tense hockey I ever seen between two teams which makes for some awesome moments.



Here is a nice logo card from the franchise I hated because they relocated. If it is not acceptable entry I understand.

Put up your entry as to me it all about the story behind it and not the card. So in theory if you take the time to read the entire post and just not vote base on the card it will not always be the best card that wins. Look forward to your entry.

Well here is my entry, for the Nashville Predators. I could just never find any reason to like this team. The playoff run really showed it all, from the obnoxious taunting cheers, to the copycat catfish, to PK Subban - yah this is a team that is easy to hate. I pulled this card myself, and it really was an "ugh" moment, what a great card from a team I despise.
