    100%

His career ranks are pretty high up there. He was a beast when he was younger. Unfortunately, he couldn't get past Peyton and Brady. Had it not been for the 2 of them stealing the show, he would get alot more recognition.

I think Brees, Brady and Manning racking up stats that Rivers is forgotten with his stats!

Rivers will get in the Hall of Fame

He has some massive stats for his era. If he decides to play for just one more year he will likely pass Marino in passing yards and touchdowns. If he retires after this year he will be 6th all time in passing yards and touchdowns. Rivers has been one of the most durable QBs of all time. He just has that motor that keeps on ticking. Most casual fans forget he didn't start games or really play until his 3rd year in the league. He was a 3rd string QB in 04 to Brees/Flutie and backup to Brees in 05. Entertaining trash talker also if you ever want a good listen. The NFL is more offensive driven than ever and the stats are going to continue to climb to get into the Hall of Fame. During his era, Rivers is one of the most productive.

Nearly 60K yards and 400 TD's. Without a doubt he gets in on stats alone. He has always been a stud QB just never made it all the way but neither did Dan Marino.

He probably gets in because he has the numbers. I never liked Rivers because he was a cry baby and always blamed others for his mistakes. It was always the receivers fault when he threw awful picks. He wasn't a winner, but he will get in there.

Is Philip Rivers a Hall of Famer?

    Good topic/poll!

I say yes like others said based oh stats alone. Since 2006 started every game, compiling a 122-97 record. 8 Pro Bowls, lots of stats, and according to PFR's "Approximate Value" he's tied for 13th all-time among all positions with a value of 191. The top 30 people in this AV stat are in the hall already or shoe-ins (Brady, Brees, Peppers, etc)

Yup... He's in. Some people don't like the whining (agreed) but at the end of the day, he was one of the best of his time. The stats don't lie on this one. Name the stud receivers he has had through the years....Wait are there any? LOL Ok a running back that was awesome and a Tight end...but he still racks up numbers without them.

the greatest QB generation ... they are all in
Brady - P. Manning - Rodgers - Brees - Favre- Rothlesberer -Rivers - E. Manning [with 2 super bowls and respectable numbers how do you keep him out]

there are some great QB's that are young, obviously, and this generation might rival the prior one
but guys like Wilson - Mahomes -Dak - need to stick around for 15 years and they need to keep their skill level up.

we have already seen Luck go to soon.

the thing with the greatest generation, is they all managed to have sustained level of success, and only 1 can get a ring each year

Yes Hall for sure I followed him as a NC State all kinds of stats, the ownership of the Chargers & not very good coaching has let him down as Pro, had he been able to stay with the Giants he might have had a SB
