Post Miami Dolphins running back Mark Walton is arrested for "punching his pregnant girlfriend"

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...on-arrest.html

Suspended running back Mark Walton was released by the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday after being arrested for allegedly punching his pregnant girlfriend in the head - his fourth booking of 2019.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reported that the 22-year-old was arrested after allegedly hitting the expectant mother of his child. The woman, who is five weeks pregnant, was left with a swollen left eye, according to the report.

She told police that she informed Walton about the pregnancy on Sunday.

'We were made aware of a police matter earlier this morning regarding Mark Walton. We hold our players to a high standard and take these matters very seriously. We will have no further comment at this time,' Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said in a team statement.

The Dolphins released him within seven hours of his arrest.

Walton needs to appear before a judge before he can be released because he is facing a domestic violence charge.

Walton was in the midst of a four-game suspension for violating the league's conduct and substance abuse policies. He would have been eligible to return December 8 at the New York Jets.

The Cincinnati Bengals waived Walton in April after his third arrest of 2019.

Walton surrendered to police in Florida in April on a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon, along with marijuana possession and reckless driving in connection with an incident that occurred March 12 in North Miami-Dade.

That evening, police tried to pull over Walton as he drove erratically. When he did park the car, he got out and ran away. He was shot in the back with a stun gun as tried to escape but managed to remove the prongs and vanish, according to court documents.

A search of the car, which had been rented in Walton's name, resulted in police locating a 9 mm carbine rifle, several loaded clips and 14 grams of marijuana, according to police. He had purchased the weapon legally.

Oh no, they're far too lame for this guy. He gets the seat Rae Carruth stewed in for Christmas. What is wrong with these guys?
