At least most of the time you can work the 8 hour shift and be done for the day. I loved my shift at the ambulance company 7 days of 12 hour shifts on which gave 4 hours built in overtime and then 7 days off I wish I could find another job like that. I have to prove I am in good health before anyone will hire me long term though.

True. I hope you can find a job. As it definitely makes life easier when you do not have to worry about things financially.
