    Some of you might remember....

A while back I was soliciting feedback on a repack product that I was designing for market. Something that a kid could afford, enjoy breaking, and get really great value out of. Last week the boxes came from the printers and assembly has begin. I humbly present to you, fellow cardboard aficionados, the RHC Franchise Pack blaster box. Thank you to everyone on here who helped with feedback. It meant a lot to me.

    So what is it?
Each little blaster box contains 8 packs (10 cards in each pack, unless there is a thicker card). Insert cards are 1:3, Rookie Cards are 1:6 (mostly from the past 5 years and including YG), Memorabilia cards are 1:16, and Autographs are 1:16. Each box will have either an autograph or a jersey. SRP is $20.

    So what is in it?

The jerseys and autos are valued up to about $30. Sometimes you get a $5 Alexei Zhamnov autograph, and other times you get a $30 Ryan Getzlaf. Sometimes you get a $3 Jonathan Quick insert from MVP, and other times you get a $12 UD Exclusives card of Roberto Luongo. Sometimes you get a random YG from this year's UD set and other times you get an Ovechkin Victory RC. The boxes average out to be about $25-$35, with those values falling somewhere between eBay and Beckett. Each pack has, at most, 2 cards from the 1990-93 'junk wax' era. I try to put at least 3 cards from the past 5 seasons in each pack (and one from the current season).

I have three lines of product:

    - RHC Franchise Packs (one team in each box)
    - RHC Hockey Packs (a mix of all NHL teams)
    - RHC Goalie Packs (all goalies)

Each box will have the same odds and SRP. For the wholesale to retail market, these are designed to be keystone products. Initial interest and sales have been promising. Amazon sales are slow, but I am learning to play the Amazon game.

    Legalities:
    - I do not use any of the trademarks or wordmarks owned by the NHL (triple checked that one)
    - I give the usual "not associated with any of the bla bla bla" disclaimer on the back of the box
    - I am working on bilingual packaging (as I hope to be compliant with all Canadian trade laws)
This Ad will be removed when you a member of sportscardforum.com

    - Both the box and packaging are recyclable
    - I own the UPC-A codes.

Each box weighs 190 grams and is 5.25" x 4" x 1" (a nice mix of metric and imperial!)

Thoughts, comments, suggestions, complaints, or quibbles?

Do any of the members on SCF go to Amazon to buy cards? What about singles? I would say 90% of my business goes to eBay, with the last 10% to the LCS or flea markets...

Have never bought off Amazon. Not opposed to it....just never seen anything there that interested me personally, or more importantly, at a price point that interested me. Ebay, COMC and forums are the only places I've ever bought singles online along with a couple of hobby stores that I've ordered boxes from online. You gonna be offering these through these forums and/or ebay? I may try it out. Good luck!

Taking a thought or idea all the way to realization and production is extremely enviable. Congrats on getting this off the ground.
