You have a time-machine and you can go back to the 1980s to get one box of cards....

.... what are you going to go back for and why?

If I was to get a really good deal, I'd go for any box/brand that had the possibility of me getting a Ripken "RC" (even though I already have them). But it would have to be a great deal on the box. MERRY CHRISTMAS, Rodney

This is the only acceptable answer.

Not really since the question is just a box of cards bought in the 1980s and not really a question of a box only made in the 1980s. A 1952 Topps baseball box would beat out that Jordan Fleer rookie card one.

not for Baseball... if you noticed the question in Basketball, I changed this to 70s as this is the only answer for Basketball.... I know, semantics

I bought everything there was starting around ‘86 but I can’t remember even seeing ‘86-87 Fleer in stores. Was it sold mainstream?

I did pick up a full set a few years later but can’t remember ever seeing wax packs at the stores I bought cards at.
