NBC suspends hockey analyst Jeremy Roenick for making 'inappropriate comments' about his co-workers
(CNN)NBC Sports on Monday indefinitely suspended hockey analyst Jeremy Roenick without pay "for making inappropriate comments about his co-workers," a spokesman said.
In an appearance Thursday on Barstool Sports' Spittin' Chiclets podcast, Roenick and the hosts engaged in a free-flowing conversation about Roenick's co-workers, Kathryn Tappen and Patrick Sharp.
Roenick said if he, his wife and Tappen were "going to bed together ... that would really be good, but it's never going to happen." Of Sharp, Roenick said he was "so beautiful."

No one should get mad but share facts if they disagree. In the end each station can deem what they think is offensive and take action in which case they did fair or not.

It was said on Spittin Chiclets which is a forum for candid talk amongst hockey guys. Its locker room talk 85% of the time during interviews. That's why it's so popular. However, JR has to know in the cancel culture we live in these days, he probably should have stifled it. If he was just a team reporter or insider, no one would have cared but because he has the fat contract with NBCSports, they had no choice. I see both sides. Fans are desperate to get hockey players with public personality because there are so few and those guys are entertaining. But JR...man, even the guys on the show were a little uneasy and that's difficult to do with Biznasty and Whit.
