Golden Knights fire Gallant, hire ex-Sharks coach DeBoer
Title says it all. Gerrad Gallant out in Vegas, Pete DeBoer is in.

..... Not surprised that DeBoer got another job so soon, but surprised that Gallant was let go.
I'm sure Vegas believes they should be atop the Pacific.... and they're in 5th. They're only a point out of 2nd, and three out of 1st.

Woah. That seems like a bit of a rash decision to me, but when you made the cup finals in your first year as a franchise, I would imagine there’s significantly less patience for how things have been going lately.

Just like Gallant was fired I am sure he will land somewhere when there is a opening. Not many coaches can lead a new team to a NHL Cup on it first season. Gallant had a good hand in that but as many decision are made are knee jerk reactions. Let see how the rest of the season pans out.

I'm confused by this decision. I mean sure, they aren't leading their division, but they aren't a bad team. Plus their immediate (and continued) success as a new franchise should count for something and give him a long leash, no? I guess not. Tough day for Gallant.
