I've seen those gold edges, they are actually the center layer in the cardboard. This card is actually hand painted gold, you can see the bit of overpainting on the front and back. The artist picked his favorite of the 10 cards he painted, called it # 1 of 10 and then he painted the edges. The other 9 have plain edges. Pretty cool. I didn't what I had as I pulled another Masterpieces card and the edges were different - took some investigating to figure it out.

Nice to see the artist put their own personal touches on a card like that. Makes that one like a 1/1!
