I believe BGS guarantees their RCR stuff when you want it slabbed., as long as it doesnt look tampered with

RCR is for quick grading at shows.

Its the inconvenience of getting it slabbed

This has been my experience. I've sent three RCR cards in to Beckett after having them graded locally at a shop that was hosting an event, and all three came back with the same grade. Based on what I've read elsewhere, this is pretty much the case. The only difference, is essentially paying to have the card "graded" twice. Technically, what you're paying for the second time, is the grader to assess the sub-grades and the slab. I would say the price of the card should reflect any added costs associated with getting the card slabbed. Aside from that, I wouldn't expect a substantial discount over a slabbed card. If the label has been tampered with or broken, all bets are off.
