Old collector, new to scf

Hi everyone,
I was an avid collector in the 80s and early 90s. I was the kid that set up a shop in my parents garage and sold at the flea markets.
Still have a lot of the collection, and just recently at age 44 set foot in a card shop.... its been 30 years. Bought a few boxes, but things sure have changed. All the variations... and numbered subsets. Just wanted to jump in a forum like this for help. My main reason for collecting is basically to flip these newer cards on ebay. going to hang on to my older ones for awhile.

I have so much from the 80's, my first thing is to get some of it graded.
For modern cards, I'm just learning as i go. I enjoy flipping cards on ebay right now... buy low sell high right? Just bought a giannis psa 10 for 125 last week and looks like they are going for 180-190 today. Bought a bunch of luis robert last week and I'm going to sit on them for a little bit. Trying to stay just ahead of the trends i guess. It's fun, I'm not going to risk a ton of money, and it takes me back to days of collecting. I'm 44 now.

Hey, welcome to the site. If you ever feel like talking graded cards let me know. Always fun giving/getting good advice to other collectors. Good luck with grading the 80's stuff.
