I agree. Plus, I'm sure he'll be the big Young Gun in the SP Authentic updates.

As A side note, why is his regular YG not in Series 2, but his Canvas YG is?? This just shows what a massive cash grab putting update YGs in SP Authentis really is.

Igor is our future and the leagues future for goalies. I've seen plenty of hockey over the past year and i have never seen anyone play the way he does he certainly is something special. That's why im stacking up on his stuff. He will win a few vezina's in his career. He has averaged a save % over 930 the past like 5 years in 3 top leagues in the world. His athleticism is abothe the charts and can handle the puck better than price imo not being biased. He just looks about the same if not more confident handling the puck. We'll wait and see the damage he'll do in a full season.

The future is really bright for many Russian goalies at the moment. Vasilevskiy, Samsonov, Sorokin, Shesterkin and Georgiev are some of the guys on everyone's radar at the moment. Then there's about a half-dozen junior guys who are already being heralded as potential future NHL stars including Askarov, and Konovalov.

Its going to be interesting.

He's also had a big following in the Russian card market as well I've noticed the past few years.

So he has a big hobby following both here in North America now and the previous collectors who collected his stuff pre-NHL overseas. Good for the hobby. Nice to see new goalie collectors ! :)

The hot new goalie always seems to skyrocket in price once they start showing some of their potential. Remember the James Reiner craze? His cards were ridiculously overvalued and sold for far more than they should have. Igor seems like the real deal. He could be top 10 in Vezina voting as early as next year. $125 for his young gun is staggeringly high tho
