Border Closing
Just wondering if any mail going to the US is going to be affected by the Border closure, it seems like only essential trade goods are going to go through.

For now it will not stop the flow of goods. Only non-essential travel has been halted (Shopping trips and visits)
The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.

Canada Post sent out an email last night that all services will continue to operate. However, guaranteed delivery times are no longer in effect. You can still use XpressPost, etc., but they are unable to guarantee the usual 1-3 day delivery period.
Goods will continue to flow across the border unless and until all essential services get added to the mix.

Yeah, as others have said: No reason to think the mail will have stopped (but maybe slowed down). In another couple of weeks it might change.... but okay for now.

One of the news stations in the US discussed the impact of Covid-19 on the mail system and the health experts noted that the chances of someone catching the virus from their mail is highly unlikely.
The government recognizes that in order to convince people to self-quarantine, they need to create the optimal conditions. That's why the telecoms are offering no penalties for data overages and why Hallmark channel is running all these Christmas movies. The idea is to make everyone as comfortable as possible so that they will remain at home. Mail delivery is essential for this as people will probably be shopping from home as much as possible. Things will have to get really bad for the government to cease mail delivery.

i got a rather large collection in today from Regina, SK - so mail is still flowing at the moment. However, I can foresee this changing, especially for packages that need to clear customs / departs to Canada at New York or San Francisco.
