2002-03 (02/03) Be A Player Between the Pipes Hockey Hobby Box Break | STARTLED (2020)

    Hi All.

Another video from your humble narrator. It's a bit long, as the product itself had a deep bench.

Obviously I love Between the Pipes (BTP). But what's so interesting with the 2002-03 rendition is it is only Year 2 of BTP and the cherished Mask inserts. It's officially Be A Player BTP, and not yet In the Game. It's the very first year they introduced autos into BTP, but they rare case hits. And, what may disappoint some goalie fans out there is Year 2 of BTP only guarantees a single hit, which is a memorabilia card. The good news is the product showcases very beautiful foil type cards; "enshrined" goalies such as Vezina and Hainsworth; at least four Mask cards (sometimes more); and has multiple memorabilia checklists (with far more than plain jerseys). 2002-03 is also one of the most well known - if forgotten - years of BTP. And there are a few prospect RCs like C. Anderson, R. Miller, T. Thomas, and P. Leclaire.

I remember drooling over the sellsheet for BTP 02-03 in the beckett magazine back in the days. I had the chance to open a box a few years ago. Such a fun break, the base set is beautiful, the mask cards are cool. You got a very nice jersey card and a sweet auto :)

Thanks guys. I just love BAP and BTP. They have some of the most inspired hard-signed autos checklists in the history of the hobby.
